Course Overview: Session 1
·         Overview of course content and expectations
·         Introduction to Personal Learning Networks (PLN)

Integrate Twitter into Your PLN Outline: Sessions 1 & 2
·         Create individual teacher Twitter account
·         Create a Twitter profile including a profile picture
·         Select a pre-defined template 
·         Customize and edit the template
·         Follow class members as well as other educators on Twitter
·         Follow education organizations on Twitter
·         Follow several news organizations on Twitter
·         Review Twitter terminology (such as but not limited to, Tweet, Re-Tweet, hash tags)
·         Review use of TweetDeck (create and organize columns)
·         Review tools available to shorten web addresses (such as but not limited to www.bitly.com)
·         Tweet using a shortened URL in the Tweet
·         Tweet to our class hashtag
·         Tweet using other hashtags (in participants areas of interest)
·         Explore how Twitter can be used as a professional development tool
·         Explore how Twitter can be integreated into the curriculum to enhance student learning
Integrate Edmodo into Your PLN Outline: Sessions 3 & 4
·         Create an individual teacher Edmodo account
·         Create an Edmodo profile including a profile picture
·         Join educator communities in Edmodo
·         Post a note to an educator community
·         Post a comment to an educator community posting
·         Create an Edmodo group
·         Invite participants to an Edmodo group
·         Post a quiz in an Edmodo group
·         Post an assignment in an Edmodo group
·         Post a poll in an Edmodo group
·         Tag a post in an Edmodo group
·         Explore how Edmodo can be used as a professional development tool
·         Explore how Edmodo can be integreated into the curriculum to enhance student learning
·         Review Stats (Statistics) tool
·         Explore comment settings to monitor students discussions online (moderate, publish and delete)
·         Explore how blogs can be used as a professional development tool

Integrate Blogs into Your PLN Outline: Sessions 5 & 6
·         Google Blogger overview
·         Review existing educator blogs
·         Create individual teacher blog
·         Create blog profile including a profile picture
·         Select a pre-defined template 
·         Customize and edit the template
·         Customize and edit the settings for viewing and commenting
·         Craft a robust post and publish
·         Add a page and publish robust content
·         Insert images and modify image properties
·         Add navigation/hyperlinks to external web sites
·         Add internal navigation/hyperlinks (within same blog)
·         Add gadgets (follower, link list, blog list, poll, picture, post archive, and text)
·         Comment to peers’ posts
·         Insert/embed add-ins (such as but not limited to: videos, Live Traffic Feed, word clouds)

Integrate Diigo into Your PLN Outline: Sessions 7 & 8
·         Create a Diigo account (for Educators)
·         Create a Diigo profile including a profile picture
·         Review and explore the Diigo for Educators Community
·         Review, explore and populate the Diigo Library
·         Review, explore and create Diigo Groups
·         Review, explore, create and organize Diigo Tags
·         Bookmark sites in Diigo using Diigolet
·         Bookmark sites in Diigo without using Diigolet
·         Use the annotation tools (Highlight and Sticky Note)
·         Follow other like-interested educators on Diigo
·         Follow education organizations on Diigo
·         Post comments to other Diigo members bookmarked sites
·         Explore how Diigo can be used as a professional development tool
·         Explore how Diigo can be integreated into the curriculum to enhance student learning
